PEOPLE ASK US THIS ALL THE TIME. HERE’S HOW WE ANSWER THIS QUESTION:

No Smoke or Artificial Flavouring
Most barbecue sauces add a smoke, mesquite or hickory flavour to their sauce, CBZ’s flavour is from natural ingredients. There are no preservatives or additives in CBZ recipe.

What is lycopene and does the Original flavor contain lycopene?
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that occurs naturally in tomatoes and processed tomato products. Recent studies suggest lycopene may help prevent certain types of cancer. And lycopene is more available in processed tomato products than in fresh tomatoes. The Original flavor contains tomato paste that also contains lycopene.

Full Bodied – Less Sauce Required
CBZ has a bold, strong taste, therefore, you don’t need as much sauce to taste the flavour. The strong taste tends to tone down after being cooked, allowing the flavour of the meat to blend with the taste of the sauce. Some barbecue sauces overpower the taste of the meat.

Brown Sauce Colour versus Red-Due to Ingredients
CBZ has a rich, brown colour versus reddish like most other barbecue sauces. Ingredients like molasses and soya give it brown colour.

Texture-Makes it a Multi-Purpose Sauce
CBZ sauce is thinner in consistency than most barbecue brands. We make the formulation thinner, so that it is more multi-purpose. For example, a thinner sauce is better for marinating meats - less sauce is required and it absorbs into the meat better.

Different Ingredients Make CBZ Unique Tasting
CBZ uses ingredients such as molasses, soya, mustard and chili peppers to create a unique taste. Most other barbecue sauces have a similar list of ingredients which creates a similar taste.
Most competitive barbecue sauces all taste the similar due to the fact use artificial flavourings like smoke and hickory to create a traditional BBQ taste. CBZ does not use artifical flavourings, therefore it does not have a traditional BBQ taste.
